Wineries
South Australia is world-renowned as a producer of great quality wines and the State is littered with world-class wineries. Stretching out from the capital, Adelaide, regions include Barossa, Clare Valley, Limestone Coast, the Riverland and many more, so if you are a wine lover make sure you take the time to sample a glass or two.
Arts
Two of the big festivals to watch out for are the Fringe Festival and Adelaide Festival of Arts, with the Adelaide Festival Centre proving to be a great home for festivals throughout the year.

The Nightlife in Adelaide is not to be missed. There are plenty of bars, clubs and late night establishments to explore and experience while you search for your favourite. For something a little different, try the Fumo Blue Cocktail Lounge, or head to the Shotz Pool Lounge to really relax and escape the mayhem. The third largest island in Australia, Kangaroo Island has a strong focus on agriculture and tourism as its main industries with a southern rock lobster fishery also on the island. Covered in nature reserves to protect the natural vegetation and native animals that live there, Kangaroo Island provides a great location for a weekend escape.
While Adelaide has plenty to keep you going once you finish work for the day or week, don’t limit yourself to just the city. There are many towns and places to visit in the State that prove just how good the food and drink in this part of the country is. Wineries in the Barossa region are a must-visit but if you do stay in the city, try food from the Central Market.

There are three public universities in South Australia; the University of Adelaide, Flinders University of South Australia and the University of South Australia. All three have been listed in the top 400 universities in the world previously while the University of Adelaide is the third oldest in the country and the University of South Australia is the largest in the State.
