Once they receive their OTSR, the electrician is recognized as having equivalent skills to an Australian-qualified electrician. This means they can start work for you from day one, on a provisional electrical license in any State in Australia.

Even though every newly arriving electrician will hold their Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820), they will not yet have their A Grade License. Standard Sponsor: This is the basic level of sponsorship, allowing you to sponsor skilled workers for the Skills in Demand Visa.
Accredited Sponsor: This level provides faster processing times and additional benefits. To become accredited, your business needs to meet higher criteria, such as having a long history of good dealings with the immigration system and demonstrating high compliance levels with immigration and labor regulations.
Comply with Sponsorship Obligations: As an approved sponsor, you will be required to comply with specific obligations, such as paying the Skilling Australians Fund levy on a Pay As You Go Basis, and ensuring that sponsored workers receive the Australian market salary rate, and maintaining proper working conditions.
